Laying with your head on the persons belly you are close to and listening to the gut-sounds is a unique human gesture of love in the sense of warmth, security and connectedness.

In every day life those sounds arising from our digestion activities, are more seen as a burden than a blessing. A grumbling belly can be more then just a sign of hunger. following the gut-feeling, it is the mission of the belly bar to change this misperception, to widen our understanding and use of our own body, by taking only the part of the belly-sounds as focus.

Belly Bar is a research tool to find out about digestion sounds, its effects and causes. It aims to get the most out of this small but rich and important aspect of our body.
